Aura Firmware Release Notes

Latest Release

Aura Firmware v1.3

  • Available via 'Firmware Update' in Aura Config Tool in late August 2016
  • Shipped on production Open Stock Aura 8 in early September 2016
  • Running change for QQ Extra 300 production some time after early September 2016
  • Software Changes:
    • Firmware v1.2 did not correctly calculate Exponential values. The Exponential calculation has been corrected in Firmware v1.3. Please be aware the control surfaces may feel different after updating from v1.2 to v1.3 and should be tested before flight.
    • Add support for Cessna 170 PNP
    • Add support for Spektrum AR7700 SRXL protocol and CRC

Aura Firmware v1.2

  • Available via 'Firmware Update' in Aura Config Tool in mid November 2015
  • Initially shipped on release of Open Stock Aura 8 in November 2015
  • Running change for QQ Extra 300 production in January 2016
  • Firmware v1.2 incorrectly calculated Aura Exponential values which removes any exponential feeling on the control surfaces. This issue was fixed in v1.3.
  • Software Updates
    • Add support for Open Stock Aura
    • Add Quick Set and Quick Trim features
    • Add USB power-up robustness logic
    • Add capability for dual Control Modes per Flight Mode
    • Add support for SubTrim in uSec steps
    • Introduce Config File Version v1.1

Aura Firmware v1.1

  • Stock of QQ Extra 300 Aura 8 updated to v1.1 in mid August 2015
  • Available via 'Firmware Update' in Aura Config Tool in mid August 2015
  • Software Updates
    • Add Satellite Remote Receiver robustness logic
    • Add support for DSM2 modules in JR Transmitters
    • Add robustness for initializing Aura under High Rate conditions
    • Add support for Futaba SBUS2 FASSTest

Aura Firmware v1.0

  • Initially released on QQ Extra 300 Aura 8 in early August 2015
  • No longer authorized by Flex Innovations for use. Flex Innovations can only support v1.1+.
