Mamba 10 with Crow

The Mamba 10 is the only PNP 3D foam biplane on the market in this size with four individual aileron servos instead of two servos with interconnect linkages. When the Mamba 10 is shipped from the Factory, it is setup with the Left Ailerons (Upper and Lower) Y-Harnessed together and connected the Aura Port S2. The Right Ailerons (Upper and Lower) are Y-Harnessed together and connected to the Aura Port S3. This configuration allows the pilot to easily setup the Mamba 10 to quickly get the Mamba 10 flying!

For Advanced pilots, the Mamba 10 servo connections can be connected differently so the Aura so can control each Aileron servo individually. By using the advanced features of the Aura AFCS, a simple 6-Channel transmitter can be used to fly the Mamba 10 with the “world famous QQ biplane crow”. Crow is used to slow downlines and helping make amazing short-field landings by simultaneously raising both upper ailerons and lowering both bottom ailerons to increase drag.

To modify your Mamba 10 to fly with Crow, you must:

  • Modify the factory Aura configuration using the Aura Config Tool
  • Update the Servo Connections to the Aura

In order to fly the Mamba 10 with Crow, you must connect your Receiver to the Aura with a modern Digital Receiver connection such as:

Note: You cannot setup the Mamba 10 with Crow if you connect your Receiver to the Aura with Traditional PWM Servo Extensions.

Convert your Mamba 10 Factory Setup to the Mamba 10 with Crow Setup

Step 1 - Modify the factory Aura Configuration

If you haven't installed the Aura Config Tool yet, follow the instructions to Install the Aura Config Tool.

You must use at least version 1.1.4.0 of the Aura Config Tool. Follow the instructions to Check and your Aura Config Tool Version and Update if necessary.

  11. Click 'Finish'
  12. Save the Aura Config File to an easy to remember location on your PC
  13. Click the 'Write All to Aura' button to write the Mamba 10 with Crow configuration to the Aura.
  14. After the file is written, click the 'Disconnect' button and unplug the Micro-USB cord.
