Latest Release

Aura Bootloader v3.0

• Released July 28, 2025 in Aura Config Tool
• Started shipping in any products shipped with Aura Firmware v1.25+ starting late July 2025.
• Software Changes:
  • Update Bootloader USB to use Generic CDC ACM Driver rather than ST CDC Driver for future Aura tools
  • Moved Bootloader Recovery pin to Pin2 for easier resetting

Previous Releases

Aura Bootloader v2.2

• Shipped in products with Aura Firmware v1.19+ starting April 2022.
• Software Changes:
  • Added recovery pin to force into Bootloader if firmware update bricks
  • Added check to stay in Bootloader if Hardware ID is corrupted

Aura Bootloader v2.1

• Shipped in products with Aura Firmware v1.12+ starting late November 2019.
• Software Changes:
  • Required for release of Aura 5, Aura 8 Pro, and Aura 12 Pro

Aura Bootloader v2.0

• Shipped in products with Aura Firmware v1.7+ starting late November 2018.
• Software Changes:
  • Add the ability to start the bootloader from the firmware which eliminates needing a Bind Plug is S7.
  • Additional changes to support future products

Aura Bootloader v1.5

• Shipped on Aura products starting in September 2015
• Software Changes:
  • Added the ability to reboot the Bootloader from a software command

Aura Bootloader v1.4

• Initially released on with Aura Firmware v1.0 in August 2015
• Initial bootloader required Bind Plug and physical power plugging/unplugging
