Generic Jet - Setup with Aura Wizard Options

Use the Aura Wizard with your Jet to quickly setup:

  • Transmitter Type
  • Receiver Connection Type
  • Rates/Expo/Flight Mode Style
    • Traditional Style: Low/Med/High Rates with Independent Flap Switch
    • Rosier Style: Landing, Takeoff and Cruise Flight Modes with Full Rates and Flaps Tied to Flight Mode
    • QQ F-16 3D Style: Sport, Fast 3D, Slow 3D with Independent Flap Switch
  • Gyro Gain Kill Option
  • Crow Switch Option
  • Live Wing Option
  • Flap Gyro Gain
  • Nose Wheel Steering Option
  • Thrust Vector Switch Option

Make sure you Transmitter is setup with Normal Wing Type - 1 Aileron and Normal Tail Type - 1 Elevator, 1 Rudder.

The Aura Config Tool Wizard makes it easy to quickly create an Aura Configuration File for any Jet, but any option can be tuned or changed after creating the initial configuration.

Generic Jet - Rates/Expos/Flight Modes Details

Rosier Style: Landing, Takeoff and Cruise Flight Modes with Full Rates and Flaps Tied to Flight Mode

  • Flight Mode Switch
    • Assign your Flight Mode switch to Channel 6
    • Changing the Flight Mode switch changes your Flap Position
  • Flaps
    • Changing the Flight Mode switch changes your Flap Position
    • Change Flap Positions and Flap Elevator Compensation Flap System Tab in the Aura Config Tool
  • TVC
    • If using a Thrust Vector system for a Rosier Style config, assign your Thrust Vector switch to Channel 9 (by default)


  • Flight Mode 1: Landing
    • Flaps Down
    • Full Rates with lowest Expo
    • High Gain
  • Flight Mode 2: Takeoff
    • Mid Flaps
    • Full Rates with medium Expo
    • Medium Gain
  • Flight Mode 3: Cruise
    • Flaps Up
    • Full Rates with highest Expo
    • Low Gain


Traditional Style: Low/Med/High Rates with Independent Flap Switch

    • Assign your Flight Mode switch to Channel 10
    • Each Flight Mode has different Rates and Expo
  • Flaps
    • Assign your Flap Switch to Channel 6 in your Transmitter. See Flap Options section below for more details.
    • Use the Flap Switch to command any Flap Position in any Flight Mode
    • Change Flap Positions and Flap Elevator Compensation using the Aura Config Tool
    • OK to Reverse the Channel 6 switch direction in your Transmitter for personal preference
  • TVC
    • If using a Thrust Vector system for a Traditional Style config, assign your Thrust Vector switch to Channel 9 (by default)

Generic Jet - Wizard Options

Gyro Gain Kill Switch

  • Use the Gyro Kill Switch Dropdown Box in the Wizard to turn On or Off the Gyro Gain Kill Switch option.
  • The Gyro Gain Kill Switch will turn Off any Gyro Gain corrections when Activated with Gyro Gain Kill Switch Channel.
    • By default, the Gyro Gain Kill Switch will be assigned to Channel 7.


Crow Switch

  • Use the Crow Switch Dropdown Box in the Wizard to turn On or Off the Crow option.
  • The "On - Switch Channel" option will enable a throttle based Crow Mix to the Ailerons and Flaps when Activated with Crow Switch Channel.
    • By default, the Crow Switch will be assigned to Channel 8.
  • The "On - Tied to Landing Mode" option will enable a crow offset to the Ailerons when the Landing Flight Mode is in use.
    • This option is only available when the Rosier Style Gains/Rates/Expos option is selected.


Flap Options

  • Use the Enable Aura Flap System option to setup Flap Positions, Elevator Compensation, Flap Speed, Live Wing, or Flap Gyro Gain Options easily in Aura.
    • By default, Enable Aura Flap System is checked. Assign the Flap Switch to Channel 6 in your Transmitter, but adjust Flap Settings in the Flap System Tab in the Aura Config Tool.
    • Uncheck the Enable Aura Flap System if you want to setup the Flaps positions in your Transmitter using Channel 6.
  • Check the Enable Live Wing in Flight Mode 3 option to configure the Flaps with Ailerons in Flight Mode 3.
    • Be sure your flaps can mechanically move in each direction to use this option and prevent damage to your Flaps.
    • Flaps can be configured to only move down with Aileron by adjusting one side of the Flap Live Wing Scale or by adjust the Servo Pulse Width Limit.
  • Check the Enable Flap Gyro Gain in Flight Mode 3 option to configure the Flaps to respond to Roll Gain.
    • Be sure your flaps can mechanically move in each direction to use this option and prevent damage to your Flaps.
    • Flaps can be configured to only move down with Aileron by adjusting one side of the Servo Output Scale or by adjust the Servo Pulse Width Limit.


Nose Wheel Options

  • Use the Steerable Nose Wheel Dropdown Box in the Wizard to turn On the Steerable Nose Wheel option.
  • If On, a Nose Wheel servo will be setup in the Aura Config File.
    • The Rudder stick is remapped to Ch22 in Aura for Nose Wheel Steering.
    • Nose Wheel Rates/Expo can be adjusted by adjusting the Ch22 Rates/Expo in each Flight Mode.
  • Ch22 is steerable when the Ch22 cut conditions are not met.
    • You may need to change the Cut Criteria for Ch22 on the Safety Tab to make sure the Nose Wheel only steers when the Gear is Down.
  • The Steerable Nose Wheel Options are:
    • "Off": No Nose Wheel servo setup in the Aura Config File
    • "On - No Gain, No Trimmer": Steerable with the Rudder stick when the Gear is Down.
    • "On - No Gain, With Ch15 Trimmer": Steerable with the Rudder stick when the Gear is Down. Nose Wheel Trim can be adjusted with Ch15.
    • "On - With Gain, No Trimmer": Steerable with the Rudder stick and Yaw Gyro correction when the Gear is Down.
    • "On - With Gain, With Ch15 Trimmer": Steerable with the Rudder stick and Yaw Gyro correction when the Gear is Down. Nose Wheel Trim can be adjusted with Ch15.


Thrust Vector Options

  • Use the Thrust Vector Switch Dropdown Box in the Wizard to turn On the Thrust Vector option.
  • If On, Pitch and Yaw Thrust Vector servos will be setup in the Aura Config File.
    • The Pitch/Yaw sticks are remapped to Ch23/Ch24 in Aura for Thrust Vector control.
    • Thrust Vector Rates/Expo can be adjusted by adjusting the Ch23/Ch24 Rates/Expo in each Flight Mode.
  • The Thrust Vector is On when the Ch23/Ch24 cut conditions are not met.
    • The Thrust Vector control is ON/OFF using a switch on Ch9 (by default).
  • The Thrust Vector Switch Options are:
    • "Off": No Pitch/Yaw Thrust Vector servos setup in the Aura Config File
    • "On - No Gain, No Trimmer": On with the Pitch/Yaw sticks activated.
    • "On - No Gain, With Ch11/Ch12 Trimmers": On with the Pitch/Yaw sticks when activated. Thrust Vector Pitch/Yaw trims can be adjusted with Ch11/Ch12 respectively.
    • "On - With Gain, No Trimmer": On with the Pitch/Yaw sticks and Pitch/Yaw Gyro correction when activated.
    • "On - With Gain, With Ch11/Ch12 Trimmers": On with the Pitch/Yaw sticks and Pitch/Yaw Gyro correction when activated. Thrust Vector Pitch/Yaw trims can be adjusted with Ch11/Ch12 respectively.
