Generic STOL - Setup with Aura Wizard Options
Use the Aura Wizard with your STOL to quickly setup:
- Transmitter Type
- Receiver Connection Type
- Rates/Expo/Flight Mode Style
- 3D Live Wing: Sport, Fast 3D, Slow 3D
- Live Wing Flight Modes
- Gyro Gain Kill Option
- Crow Switch Option
- Flap System Option
- Flap Gyro Gain
For best results, create a new Transmitter model and setup the Wing/Tail type as: Normal Wing Type - 1 Aileron and Normal Tail Type - 1 Elevator, 1 Rudder.
The Aura Config Tool Wizard makes it easy to quickly create an Aura Configuration File for any STOL with Live Wive, but any option can be tuned or changed after creating the initial configuration.

3D Live Wing: Sport, Fast 3D, and Slow 3D Flight Mode with Independent Flap Switch
- Live Wing is Active in Flight Mode 2 and Flight Mode 3
- When Live Wing is Active, Flaps will move with Ailerons giving full span control.
- Flight Mode Switch
- Assign your Flight Mode switch to Channel 5
- Flaps
- Assign your Flap Switch to Channel 6 in your Transmitter. See Flap Options section below for more details.
- Use the Flap Switch to command any Flap Position in any Flight Mode
- OK to Reverse the Channel 6 switch direction in your Transmitter for personal preference

Generic STOL - Wizard Options
Gyro Gain Kill Switch
- Use the Gyro Kill Switch Dropdown Box in the Wizard to turn On or Off the Gyro Gain Kill Switch option.
- The Gyro Gain Kill Switch will turn Off any Gyro Gain corrections when Activated with Gyro Gain Kill Switch Channel.
- By default, the Gyro Gain Kill Switch will be assigned to Channel 7.
Crow Switch
- Use the Crow Switch Dropdown Box in the Wizard to turn On or Off the Crow option.
- The "On - Switch Channel" option will enable a throttle based Crow Mix to the Ailerons and Flaps when Activated with Crow Switch Channel.
- If you enable the Crow Option, assign your Crow Switch to Channel 8 in your Transmitter.
Flap Options
- Use the Enable Aura Flap System option to setup Flap Positions, Elevator Compensation, Flap Speed, Live Wing, or Flap Gyro Gain Options easily in Aura.
- By default, Enable Aura Flap System is checked. Assign the Flap Switch to Channel 6 in your Transmitter, but adjust Flap Settings in the Flap System Tab in the Aura Config Tool.
- Uncheck the Enable Aura Flap System if you want to setup the Flaps Position, Elevator Compensation, and Flap Speed in your Transmitter using Channel 6.
- The Enable Live Wing option is always checked and configures the Flaps to move with with Ailerons when Active.
- Be sure your flaps can mechanically move in each direction to use this option and prevent damage to your Flaps.
- Flaps can be configured to only move down with Aileron by adjusting one side of the Flap Live Wing Scale or by adjust the Servo Pulse Width Limit.
- Check the Enable Flap Gyro Gain in Flight Mode 3 option to configure the Flaps to respond to Roll Gain.
- Be sure your flaps can mechanically move in each direction to use this option and prevent damage to your Flaps.
- Flaps can be configured to only move down with Aileron by adjusting one side of the Servo Output Scale or by adjust the Servo Pulse Width Limit.
